Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement-LH

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Perform the Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming Procedure.
2. Remove the driver seat
3. Unclip the J-clips on the back of driver's seat.
4. Using a flat head screwdriver, remove the plastic molding that holds the driver side air bag inflator module to the driver seat back frame.




5. Note the routing of the driver side air bag inflator module wiring harness (2) and retaining clip attachments within the driver seat.
6. Remove the driver side air bag inflator module wiring harness retaining clips from the driver seat frame.
7. Remove the driver side air bag inflator module wiring harness (2) from the driver seat frame.
8. Remove the driver side air bag inflator module (1) from the driver seat back frame.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the driver side air bag inflator module wiring harness (2) to the driver seat frame, while guiding the wiring harness through the appropriate spots on the driver seat frame.
2. Install the driver side air bag inflator module wiring harness retaining clips to the driver seat frame.




3. Install the plastic molding that holds the driver side air bag inflator module to the driver seat back frame.
4. Install the driver side air bag inflator module to the driver seat back frame.
5. Connect the J-clips on the back of driver's seat.
6. Install the driver seat.
7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to the Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming Procedure
