Installation

Description:

1. Install the inflatable restraint IP module to the cross-car beam.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Vehicle Damage Warnings.

2. Install the inflatable restraint IP module mounting fasteners (3) attaching the inflatable restraint IP module to the IP.
Tighten
Tighten fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb. in).
Use hand tools only to achieve fastener torque. This will prevent stripping of the replacement fastener.
3. Install the inflatable restraint IP module mounting fasteners (4) attaching the inflatable restraint IP module to the cross-car beam inflatable restraint IP module bracket.
Tighten
Tighten fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb. in). Use hand tools only to achieve fastener torque.
This will prevent stripping of the replacement fastener.
4. Install the instrument panel compartment.
5. Enable the SIR system.
