Speedometer Driven Gear Removal

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Remove the speedometer cable (2) from the speedometer driven gear case.
3. Remove the speedometer guide bracket bolt (1) and the speedometer guide bracket from the extension housing.





4. Remove the speedometer driven gear case (2) from the extension housing.
5. Remove the speedometer driven gear (1) from the speedometer driven gear case (2).
6. Remove the lip seal from the speedometer driven gear case (2).
7. Inspect the speedometer driven gear (1) for excessive wear.
Replace the gear, if necessary.
