Speedometer Driven Gear Installation

^ Tools Required
- J 36850 Transjel Transmission Assembly Lubricant





1. Apply a thin coat of J 36850 to all speedometer driven gear components prior to assembly.
2. Install a new speedometer driven gear case lip seal into the speedometer driven gear case (2).
3. Install the speedometer driven gear (1) into the speedometer driven gear case (2).
4. Install the speedometer driven gear case (2) into the extension housing.





5. Install the speedometer guide bracket and the speedometer guide bracket bolt (1) to the extension housing.
^ Tighten the speedometer guide bracket bolt (1) to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).
6. Connect the speedometer cable (2) to the speedometer driven gear case.
7. Lower the vehicle.
