Headlamps Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:
^ Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb. Leave the lamp switch oft until the bulb change is complete.
^ Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
^ Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
^ Do not drop or scratch the bulb.
^ Keep dirt and moisture oft the bulb.
^ Place the used bulb in the new bulb's carton and dispose Of it properly.
^ Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children






1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the grille from the vehicle.
3. Turn the lock ring (4) counterclockwise in order to remove the headlamp bulb (3) from the headlamp assembly (2).
4. Remove the 4 screws from the headlamp assembly (2).




5. Remove the headlamp assembly (2) from the vehicle.
6. Remove the park/turn lamb bulb socket (3) from the park/turn amp housing.




7. Remove the following components from the headlamp assembly mounting bracket:
^ 2 screws
^ 1 nut
^ The headlamp assembly (8).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




1. Install the headlamp assembly (8) to the headlamp assembly mounting bracket. Secure the headlamp with the 2 screws and 1 nut.

Tighten
Tighten the headlamp assembly mounting bracket nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

2. Install the park/turn lamp bulb socket to the park/turn lamp housing.
3. Install the headlamp assembly to the vehicle. Secure the headlamp assembly with the 4 screws.
4. Install the headlamp bulb to the headlamp assembly.
5. Turn the lock ring clockwise in order to secure the headlamp bulb.
6. Install the grille to the vehicle.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
