Evaporator-to-Compressor Pipe (Compressor Suction)
Refrigerant Pipes And Hoses:
Remove or Disconnect
1. Discharge and recover refrigerant.
2. Negative (-) battery cable.
3. Evaporative emissions (EVAP) canister.
4. Compressor suction hose fitting (one nut) on top of radiator.
5. Pipe at evaporator outlet bulkhead fitting (one pipe nut).
6. Pipe from two radiator-mounted guide brackets bolts and pipe from vehicle.
Install or Connect
1. Install new O-rings to refrigerant pipe fittings. Coat new O-rings with clean refrigerant oil.
2. Evaporator-to-compressor (compressor suction) pipe to vehicle; secure at radiator-mounted guide brackets with bolts.
3. Pipe at evaporator outlet bulkhead fitting (one pipe nut).
4. Pipe at compressor hose fitting (one nut).
Tighten
^ Evaporator outlet pipe nut to 45 N.m (33 lb. ft.).
5. EVAP canister to vehicle.
6. Negative (-) battery cable. Refer to Battery.
7. Evacuate and recharge air conditioning system.
8. Operate A/C system and check for refrigerant leaks.
