Coolant Bypass Hose Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the radiator cap.
2. Start the engine.
3. Operate the engine for 15 minutes.
4. Stop the engine.





5. Open the drain plug (3) on the radiator in order to drain the coolant into a container.





6. Loosen and reposition one hose clamp (1) at the intake manifold end and one hose clamp (1) at the coolant intake pipe end of the coolant bypass hose.
7. Remove the coolant bypass hose from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Position a new hose clamp (1) on each end of the coolant bypass hose.
2. Install the coolant bypass hose to the vehicle.
3. Position the bypass hose over the coolant intake pipe (5) and the intake manifold flares.
4. Secure with the two coolant bypass hose clamps.
5. Fill the radiator with an approved coolant.
