Park Brake Warning Lamp Switch Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Before removing or installing any electrical unit or when a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with "live" exposed electrical terminals, disconnect the negative battery cable to help prevent personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or components. Unless instructed otherwise, the ignition switch must be in the "OFF" or "LOCK" position.

1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the two screws, the two clips and the parking brake lever trim bezel.
3. Remove the parking brake switch electrical connector.





4. Remove one bolt and the parking brake switch (4) from the parking brake lever assembly (5).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the parking brake switch (4) to the parking brake lever assembly (5); secure with one bolt.
2. Install the parking brake switch electrical connector.
3. Install the parking brake lever trim bezel.
4. Secure the parking brake lever trim bezel with the two screws and the two clips.
5. Install the negative battery cable.
