A/C System - Manual

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Recover the refrigerant from the system.





3. Remove the electrical connectors from the pressure cycling switch.
4. Remove the evaporator from the accumulator.
5. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the accumulator.
6. Remove the O-ring seals.
7. Cap or plug the open lines.
8. Disconnect the electrical connectors, if necessary.





9. Remove the screw and the bracket.
10. Remove the accumulator.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the accumulator.
2. Install the bracket and the screw.
3. Connect the electrical connectors, if necessary.





4. Install new O-ring seals.

5. Install the compressor hose assembly to the accumulator.

Tighten
Tighten the compressor hose to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

6. Install the evaporator to the accumulator.

Tighten
Tighten the evaporator to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

7. Connect the electrical connectors to the pressure cycling switch.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
9. Add refrigerant to the system.
10. Inspect the system for leaks.
