Rear Wiper Motor

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the wiper arm assembly from the vehicle.
2. Remove the nut and the spacer from the shaft.
3. Remove the interior trim panel from the endgate.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

4. Disconnect the negative battery cable.




5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the controller.
6. Remove the retaining screws and the wiper motor.
7. Disconnect the wiper motor harness from the controller.
8. Remove the controller from the wiper motor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the controller onto the wiper motor.
2. Connect the wiper motor harness to the controller.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that you install the wiper motor with the crankshaft centered in the endgate hole.

3. Using the retaining screws, install the wiper motor.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 6.5 N.m (57 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connector to the controller.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Install the interior trim panel to the endgate.




7. Install the spacer and the nut.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

8. Install the wiper arm.
