Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the rear window garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper in Interior Trim.
2. Remove the rear inner panel carpet. Refer to Carpet Replacement - Rear Panel in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the anchor-plate, spacer, washer, and bolt.
4. Clean outer surface of the anchor-plate bolt hole.

Installation Procedure
1. Apply the appropriate sealer to the outer surface of the anchor-plate bolt hole.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Install the anchor-plate, spacer, washer, and bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the anchor-plate retaining nut to 20-30 N.m.

3. Install the rear inner panel carpet. Refer to Carpet Replacement - Rear Panel in Interior Trim.
4. Install the rear window garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Upper in Interior Trim.
