Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair

EVAP Purge Solenoid Bracket Service:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the purge valve electrical connector.
2. Remove the hoses to the purge valve.
3. Remove the purge valve from the mounting bracket.
4. When replacing the bracket, remove the purge valve mounting bracket attaching nut.
5. Remove the purge valve mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the purge valve mounting bracket and the attaching nut.

^ Tighten the purge valve mounting bracket attaching nut to 6-10 Nm (53-88 lb. in.).

2. Slide the purge valve into the mounting bracket.
3. Install the hoses to the purge valve.
4. Install the valve electrical connector.
