Compressor Hose Assembly

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Recover the refrigerant from the system.





3. Remove the compressor and condenser hose bolt (2) and the washer (1).
4. Remove the compressor and condenser hose from the compressor.
5. Remove the sealing washers.





6. Remove the compressor and condenser hose from the accumulator.
7. Remove the O-ring seal.
8. Remove the air intake resonator.





9. Remove the compressor and condenser hose from the condenser.
10. Remove the O-ring seal.





11. Remove the compressor and condenser hose from the evaporator.
12. Cap or plug all of the open connections.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the compressor and condenser hose to the evaporator.
2. Install the air intake resonator.
3. Install a new O-ring seal. Coat the O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.





4. Install the compressor and condenser hose to the condenser.

Tighten
Tighten the hose to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Install a new O-ring seal.
Coat the O-ring with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.





6. Install the compressor and condenser hose to the accumulator.

Tighten
Tighten the hose to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

7. Install the sealing washers.





8. Install the compressor and condenser hose to the compressor.
9. Install the compressor and condenser hose washer (1) and the bolt (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

10. Connect the negative battery cable.
11. Add refrigerant to the system.
12. Inspect the system for leaks.
