Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the VCM or PCM.
3. Remove the coolant reservoir.
4. Remove the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.





5. Disconnect the cooling tube from the blower motor.





6. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
7. Remove the 5 blower motor and fan assembly mounting bolts (2).
8. Remove the blower motor and fan assembly.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the blower motor and fan assembly.
2. Install the 5 blower motor and fan assembly mounting bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).





3. Connect the electrical connector (1).





4. Connect the cooling tube to the blower motor.
5. Install the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
6. Install the coolant reservoir.
7. Install the VCM or the PCM.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
9. Perform the heater output temperature check.
