Front Brake Hose Replacement (RWD)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Clean the hose fittings at both ends. Remove all dirt, grease, and other foreign material.
2. Disconnect the brake pipe fitting.
3. Remove the brake hose retainer.
4. Remove the nut and bolt, if required.





5. Remove the bolt and the gaskets.
6. Remove the brake hose.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: After installation, the brake hose must not be twisted, and the brake hose must not come in contact with other components.





1. Install the brake hose. Ensure the hose is not twisted.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install new brass gaskets.
3. Install the bolt.
^ Tighten the bolt to 44 Nm (32 ft. lbs.)

4. Install the bolt and nut, if required.
^ Tighten the nut to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).





5. Install the brake pipe retainer.
6. Connect the brake pipe fitting.
^ Tighten the brake pipe fittings to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).

7. Bleed the brakes. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding.
