Installation Procedure

Description:

1. Install the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor to the front end lower tie surface make sure the arrow is pointing toward the front of the vehicle.

Description:

2. Install the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor mounting fasteners.
Tighten
^ Tighten fasteners to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Vehicle Damage Warnings.

Description:

3. Connect the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor harness connector to the sensor.

Description:

4. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor harness connector.
5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
