- Enabling the SIR System

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Turn the ignition switch to "LOCK" and remove key. Passenger yellow 2-way SIR connector and Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer.
2. I/P extension.
3. Driver yellow 2-way connector and CPA near the base of the steering column.
4. I/P Knee Bolster Replacement.
5. AIR BAGS fuse to I/P fuse block.
- Staying well away from the inflator modules, turn ignition switch to "RUN" and verify that the AIRBAG warning lamp flashes seven times and then turns "OFF." If it does not operate as described, perform the "SIR Diagnostic System Check."
