Power Steering Pressure Control Valve: Service and Repair

Steering Assist Control Solenoid:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Power steering pump from vehicle.

Important
- Note the position of the electrical terminal for the proper placement of the Steering Assist Control Solenoid during installation.

2. The Steering Assist Control Solenoid from the power steering pump.
3. The retaining clip from the backside of the solenoid.

Install or Connect
1. The retaining clip to the solenoid.
2. The Steering Assist Control Solenoid to the power steering pump.

Tighten
- The Steering Assist Control Solenoid to the power steering pump to 62 N.m (46 lb ft).

3. Power steering pump to vehicle.
4. Fill the power steering reservoir with power steering fluid to the Full mark on the dip stick.
- Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Steering On-Vehicle Service Procedures. Service and Repair
