Transfer Case Shift Cable

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
- Raise and support the vehicle.

1. Transfer case shield.





2. Control cable to the bracket retainer.
3. Control cable end from the transfer case lever.
4. Slide the control cable from the bracket.
- Lower the vehicle.





5. Shift lever knob retainer.
6. Shift lever knob.
7. Front floor console.





8. Control lever end from the shift lever.
9. Control cable to shift lever retainer.
10. Screws securing the control cable to the floor panel.
11. Control cable from the vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Control cable to the vehicle.
- Route the cable through the floor.
2. Control cable to the shift lever retainer.
3. Screws securing the control cable to the floor panel.
- Tighten:
- Control cable floor panel screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Slide the control cable into the bracket.
5. Control cable to the bracket retainer.
6. Control cable to the transfer case lever.

Adjust
- Transfer case control cable.

7. Transfer case Shield.
- Lower the vehicle.
8. Control lever end to the shift lever.
9. Front floor console.
10. Shift lever knob and retainer.
