Upper Control Arm Bushing Replacement

Remove or Disconnect

^ Tools Required:
- J 22269-1 Control Arm Bushing Fixture
- J 21474-01 Control Arm Bushing Service Set

1. Upper control arm from the vehicle. Refer to "Upper Control Arm Replacement."
2. Mount the upper control arm in a vise.
3. Washers and nuts.





4. Upper control arm bushings, using J 22269-01, and J 21474-5.
5. Upper control arm shaft from the upper control arm.

Install or Connect

^ Tool Required:
- J 22269-01 Control Arm Bushing Fixture





1. Upper control arm shaft into the upper control arm.
2. Upper control arm bushings into the upper control arm, using J 22269-01 and a short piece of pipe the same outer diameter as the rubber bushing.
- Tighten the tool until the bushing is positioned on the shaft and the control arm.
3. Washer and nuts.
- Tighten nuts to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).
4. Upper control arm to the vehicle. Refer to "Upper Control Arm Replacement."
