Dome Lamp: Service and Repair

On pickup models, the dome lamp is located on the roof panel above the rear glass. On utility vehicles, two different lamps are used. One type of dome lamp is incorporated to the overhead console. On utility vehicles without an overhead console, a separate unit is used.







Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Dome lamp lens by squeezing lens to release tabs.
3. Dome lamp bulb.
4. Screws that retain the dome lamp base to the CHMSL from inside the vehicle.
5. Dome lamp base from the vehicle.

Install or Connect
1. Dome lamp base to the vehicle.
2. Screws that retain the dome lamp base to the CHMSL from inside the vehicle.

Tighten
- Screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

3. Dome lamp bulb.
4. Dome lamp lens by squeezing lens to engage tabs.
5. Negative battery cable.
