Removal

1. Remove the air cleaner duct assembly.





2. Remove the oxygen sensor from the exhaust manifold to prevent damage to the sensor.





3. Remove the oil level indicator tube. Refer to Engine Lubrication.
4. Remove the power steering pump brace. Refer to Steering and Suspension.
5. Remove the heater hose brace. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.
6. Remove the A/C compressor braces. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.





7. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.





8. Remove exhaust manifold nuts.
9. Remove the exhaust manifold.





10. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.
