Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the coolant pump drive pulley and bolts.





2. Remove the coolant pump attaching bolts.
3. Remove the coolant pump.





4. Remove the coolant pump gasket.
^ Clean all sealing surfaces
^ Inspect all sealing surfaces for burrs or imperfections

INSTALLATION
1. Install the coolant pump gasket to the engine.
2. Install the coolant pump to the engine.
3. Apply sealant to the bolt threads.





4. Install the coolant pump attaching bolts.
^ Tighten the coolant pump attaching bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
