Endgate Window Release
Voltage for the operation of the Endgate Window Release Actuator is supplied through CTSY Fuse 2 and the ORN (40) wire to the Endgate Window Release Switch located on the Instrument Panel and to the Endgate Lock Switch located at the Endgate. When the Endgate Window Release Switch is depressed, voltage is applied through the closed contacts of the switch and the BLK/WHT (56) wire to the Endgate Window Release Actuator. When the Endgate Lock Switch is depressed and the LH Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Switch is closed (LH Front Door unlocked), then voltage is applied through the closed contacts of the Endgate Lock Switch to the BLK (1576) wire, through the Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Switch to the BLK/WHT (56) wire, and through the BLK/WHT (561 wire to the Endgate Window Release Actuator. The Endgate Lock Switch must be unlocked before it may be depressed to open the endgate window.Grounding is available at the Endgate Window Release Actuator if a required condition is met. When the parking brake is engaged on vehicles with manual transmissions. grounding is available from chassis ground through the closed contacts of the Park Brake Warning Switch and through the LT BLU (1134) wire and the ORN/BLK (434) wire to the Endgate Window Release Actuator. When the automatic transmission is in park or neutral, grounding is available from Engine Grounds G102 and G104 through the BLK (150) wire, the closed contacts of the Transmission Range Switch (Park/Neutral Position And Backup Lamp Switch) and the ORN/BLK (434) wire to the Endgate Window Release Actuator.
