Front Parking Brake Cable:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Ensure that the parking brake is fully released. Service and Repair
2. Loosen the parking brake cable at the cable adjuster.
3. The front parking brake cable from the rear parking brake cables.
4. The parking brake release handle and cable from the vehicle. Refer to Parking Brake Release Handle.
Parking Brake Front Cable:
5. The front parking brake cable from the parking brake pedal.
6. The front parking brake cable from the parking brake pedal retainer.
7. The rubber grommet from the cowl.
Front Parking Brake Cable:
8. The front parking brake cable from the vehicle.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The front parking brake cable through the vehicle.
2. The rubber grommet to the cowl.
3. The front parking brake cable to the parking brake pedal retainer.
4. The front parking brake cable to the parking brake pedal.
5. The parking brake release handle and cable. Service and Repair
6. The front parking brake cable to the rear parking brake cables.
7. Remove the pin from the parking brake pedal.
8. Set parking brake pedal to the full up position, then measure the threads on the equalizer. Adjust to the following specifications:
^ Passenger/Cargo to 13 mm (0.511 inch).
^ Cutaway/Upfitters to 27 mm (1.062 inch).
9. Verify that the vehicle will hold position with the parking brake pedal depressed.
10. Make additional adjustments as necessary. Adjustments
