Flex Plate: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the transmission.
2. Remove the flywheel bolts.
3. Remove the flywheel
4. Clean the mating surfaces of the crankshaft and the flywheel.
5. Remove any burrs.
6. Inspect the flywheel for worn or broken teeth and cracks.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the flywheel.
2. Install the flywheel bolts.
^ Tighten the flywheel bolts to 100 Nm (74 lb ft).
3. Install the transmission.
