Disableing the SIR System

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
- Turn the steering wheel to the straight ahead position.
- Remove the key from the ignition switch.
1. The AIR BAG fuse from the I/P fuse block.
2. The Connector Position Assurance (CPA) and the driver yellow 2-way connector located at the base of the steering column.
3. The I/P extension.
4. The CPA and the passenger yellow 2-way connector located under RH center of I/P.

NOTE: With the "AIR BAG" fuse removed and the ignition switch in the "RUN" position, the "AIR BAG" warning lamp will illuminate. This is normal operation and does not indicate a SIR system malfunction.
