Passenger's Inflator Module

Passenger Inflator Module:

CAUTION: When performing service on or around SIR components or wiring, follow the procedures listed below to temporarily disable the SIR system. Failure to follow procedures could result in possible air bag deployment, personal injury, or otherwise unneeded SIR system repairs.

Remove or Disconnect
1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Passenger's I/P knee bolster.
3. Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer and SIR connector at the right-hand center of the I/P
4. lip retaining inflator pigtail to the I/P.
5. Two bolts retaining the SIR inflator module to the instrument panel carrier.
6. Passenger SIR inflator module from the I/P by pushing out from the back side.

Install or Connect
1. Passenger SIR inflator module.
2. Two bolts retaining the PSIR module to the instrument panel carrier.

Tighten
^ Bolts to 5 N.m (44 Lb. in).

3. PSIR connector and Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer.
4. Clip retaining inflator pigtail to the I/P
5. Passenger's I/P knee bolster.
6. Enable the SIR system.
