Daytime Running Lamp Control Unit: Service and Repair

The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) module consists of a circuit board in a case with integral wiring. The case breaks out of the wiring harness next to the I/P fuse center. The case is attached to the wiring harness with tape or a tie wrap.

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable. Refer to Service Precautions.
2. Tape or tie wrap holding the DRL case (black) to the wiring harness.
^ Open the case.
3. Circuit board from the case.

Install or Connect
1. Circuit board into the case.
2. Case to the harness with tape or tie wrap.
3. Negative battery cable.
