Muffler: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
^ Raise & support the vehicle.
^ Support muffler assembly.





1. Three nuts retaining the muffler to the catalytic converter.





2. Muffler from 3 hangers.
^ Lubricate the rubber hangers with rubber lubricant GM P/N 12345884 to aid in the removal of the muffler assembly.
3. Muffler from vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Muffler to vehicle.
2. Muffler to 3 hangers.
3. Three nuts retaining the muffler to the catalytic converter.
^ Tighten nuts to 40 Nm (30 ft lbs.).
