Thermostat: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

NOTE: Drain the cooling system until the coolant level is below the thermostat.

1. Bolt and stud.
2. Thermostat housing.
3. Thermostat.
^ Clean all parts and sealing surfaces.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Thermostat.
2. Thermostat housing.
3. Bolt and stud.
^ Tighten Bolt and stud to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Coolant to the radiator.
^ Check the system for leaks.
