Removal and Installation
FRONT HOSE REPLACEMENTFront Brake Hose:
Remove or Disconnect
1. Pipe fitting.
2. Retainer(s).
3. Bolt.
4. Gaskets.
5. Hose.
Install or Connect
1. Hose.
^ The hose must not be twisted.
2. Gaskets.
^ Use new gaskets when installing the hose.
3. Bolt.
^ Tighten Bolt to 44 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).
4. Retainer(s).
5. Pipe fitting.
^ Tighten Pipe fitting to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Bleed the brakes. Refer to Hydraulic System, Service and Repair. Service and Repair
NOTE: The hose must not be twisted or contact any suspension components after installation.
Front Brake Hose:
REAR HOSE
Remove or Disconnect
1. Pipe fittings.
2. Retainer.
3. Bolt.
4. Rear hose.
Install or Connect
1. Rear hose.
2. Bolt.
^ Tighten Bolt to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
3. Retainer.
4. Pipe fittings.
^ Tighten Pipe fittings to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
5. Bleed brakes. Refer to Hydraulic System, Service and Repair.
