This bulletin is being Issued to correct the connecting rod and piston replacement procedure in Section 6A2 of the 1994 and 1995 S/T Service Manuals. Under Step 4 of the Installation Procedure, the technician is instructed to loosen the connecting rod bolt nuts 1 full turn and torque to 95 Nm (70 lb ft). This procedure is worded incorrectly and is being changed to "Crankshaft bearing caps to 95 Nm (70 lb ft)". This procedure is for checking crankshaft end play. The proper torque specification is connecting rod cap nuts to 52 Nm (38 lb ft).
