Assemble piston to rod, with arrow on piston facing toward front of engine, Fig. 4. Upon installation, measure connecting rod side clearance using a feeler gauge. Side clearance should be 0.0039 to 0.0149.

Pistons are available in standard size or oversize of 0.020 inch (.5 mm). Piston pins are available in standard size only.
