Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Ignition Coils And Ignition Control Module:

Ignition Control Module And Coil Assembly:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Ignition key "OFF."

IMPORTANT: Each of the three coils can be removed independently of the other two.

2. Secondary wiring from coil(s) to be removed.
3. Screws retaining coil(s) to module mounting plate.
4. Separate coil(s) from ignition module by pulling straight up on coil(s).

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Coil(s) onto module.
2. Screws retaining coil(s) to module mounting plate. Tighten coil to plate screws to 4.5 Nm (40 lb.in.).
3. Secondary wiring.
