DEFECT INVOLVED

General Motors has decided that CERTAIN 1995 G Model Vans fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components". The subject vehicles may have been built with a sliding side-door rear latch that was improperly riveted. In the event of a vehicle crash, the door may not perform as required by the standard.

To correct this condition, dealers will replace the sliding door rear latch on all suspect vehicles.
