Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

Exhaust manifold bolt location:

1. Disconnect batteries.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Disconnect exhaust pipe from manifold, then lower vehicle.
4. Remove engine cover, then disconnect glow plug wires.
5. If removing left side manifold on models equipped with A/C, remove A/C compressor rear bracket.
6. Remove exhaust manifold attaching bolts and the exhaust manifold.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Refer to Fig. 6 for bolt locations. Tighten to specification.
