Thermostatic Air Cleaner Vacuum Motor: Testing and Inspection

1. Using a suitable size hose, connect vacuum motor to intake manifold.
2. Look through air intake side of air cleaner and make sure that hot air switching valve is completely closed.
3. Start and allow engine to run at idle. Air switching valve should work immediately, closing off fresh air intake side completely. Also, make sure that valve operates smoothly.
