Parking Brake Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Brake Dust Warning (Brake Dust Warning).


1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the parking brake shoes. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the actuator.
4. Remove the parking brake actuator (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the parking brake actuator (1).
2. Connect the parking brake cable from the actuator.
3. Install the parking brake shoes. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Adjust the parking brake. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment (Adjustments).
