Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Drain a small amount of coolant from the radiator. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill).
2. Loosen and reposition the hose clamp (1) at the air bleed pipe (2).
3. Loosen and reposition the hose clamp (1) at the inlet hose fitting (3) for the surge tank.
4. Remove the air bleed hose (4) from the air bleed pipe (2).
5. Remove the clamps (1) from the air bleed hose (4).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the hose clamps (1) on the air bleed hose (4).
2. Insert the air bleed hose (2) on the inlet hose fitting (3) for the surge tank.
3. Insert the air bleed hose (2) on the air bleed pipe (2).
4. Reposition the clamps (1) on either end of the air bleed hose (4) and tighten.
5. Refill the coolant system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill).
