Important:
Prior to reprogramming, make sure the Tech 2(R) is updated with the latest software.
1. Reprogram the ECM with the appropriate calibration (or later) listed below. These calibrations, or any that follow, are designed to address this concern. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in SI.
The new ECM calibrations are currently available to dealerships in TIS2Web. If you cannot access the calibration, call the Techline Customer Support Center (TCSC) and it will be provided. As always, make sure your Tech 2(R) is updated with the latest software version.
2. Check for any DTCs in the ECM/TCM. Clear any DTCs that are stored.
3. Use a Tech 2(R) scan tool to reset the electronic throttle control adaptive values (perform idle learn procedure).
3.1 Turn the ignition ON with the engine OFF.
3.2 Reset the adaptive values using a scan tool.
3.3 Turn the ignition OFF for 20 seconds.
