Latch Replacement - Liftgate

Removal Procedure

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the rear compartment sill panel.




3. Remove the liftgate latch retaining bolts.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the liftgate latch.
5. Release the latch cable retainer and remove latch cable from liftgate latch.




6. Remove the liftgate latch from the bracket.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the liftgate latch to the bracket.
2. Engage latch cable retainer.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the liftgate latch.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the liftgate latch retainer bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Install the rear compartment sill panel.
6. Close the liftgate.
