Heater Pipe Replacement - Inlet

HEATER PIPE REPLACEMENT - INLET

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.




3. Use J 38185 in order to position aside the heater hose inlet clamp.
4. Disconnect the inlet hose (3) from the heater inlet pipe.




5. Remove the heater inlet pipe mounting nut.
6. Remove the heater inlet pipe.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater inlet pipe.
2. Install the heater inlet pipe mounting nut.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the nut to 7 N.m (62 lb in).




3. Connect the inlet hose (3) to the heater inlet pipe.
4. Use J 38185 in order to position the heater hose inlet clamp.
5. Install the air cleaner assembly.
6. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
