Intake Manifold Tuning Valve (IMTV) Vacuum Actuator Replacement
INTAKE MANIFOLD TUNING VALVE (IMTV) VACUUM ACTUATOR REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold tuning valve (IMTV) actuator valve.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the IMTV is closed before removing the IMTV actuator retaining bolts and valve.
2. Remove the IMTV actuator valve bolts.
3. Remove the IMTV actuator valve from the IMTV.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the IMTV actuator valve to the IMTV.
2. Install the IMTV actuator valve bolts.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the IMTV actuator valve retaining bolts to 12 N.m(106 lb ft).
3. Connect the vacuum hose to the IMTV actuator valve.
