Oil Pump Drive Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the throttle body.
2. Remove the fuel feed pipe from the fuel injector rail.





3. Remove the oil pump drive bolt.
4. Remove the oil pump drive clamp.
5. Remove the oil pump drive.
6. Remove the oil pump drive seal.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the oil pump drive seal. Coat the seal or bore in the engine block with engine oil.
2. Coat the drive gear on the oil pump drive with prelude GM P/N 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or the equivalent.
3. Install the oil pump drive.
4. Install the oil pump drive clamp.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the oil pump drive bolt.
^ Tighten the bolt to 36 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).





6. Install the fuel feed pipe to the fuel injector rail.
