Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 8 in Restraint Systems.




2. Remove the cover from the garnish trim fasteners.




3. Remove the garnish trim fasteners.




4. Starting at the top, remove the windshield garnish trim by pulling straight out.

Installation Procedure




1. Starting at the bottom, install the windshield garnish trim.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the garnish trim fastener.

Tighten the fastener to 3 N.m (26 lb in).




3. Install the cover to the garnish trim fastener.
4. Enable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 8 in Restraint Systems.
