Exhaust Intermediate Pipe Available for Service
Models:
1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette New Exhaust Service Section Available
The Corvette exhaust has formerly been serviceable in only two sections: the rear muffler and tailpipe assembly, or the front pipe which included the catalytic convertors. If the center section of the exhaust requires replacement, you may now order an intermediate section for service only. Servicing the exhaust in this manner will greatly reduce the cost of the repair saving your customer money or reducing the warranty burden.
Specific Procedures for Replacement
Important:
Please refer to Corporate Bulletin Number 04-06-05-006 for the specific exhaust replacement procedure. This procedure MUST be followed exactly to ensure no exhaust leaks develop.
Servicing the intermediate section of the exhaust requires cutting the original pipes. You must follow the exact replacement procedure referenced in Corporate Bulletin Number 04-06-05-006.
