Fuel Pressure Gage Installation and Removal

FUEL PRESSURE GAGE INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Remove the left fuel rail cover.




2. Install the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel pressure service connection, located on the fuel rail.

3. Turn ON the ignition.

CAUTION: Refer to Fuel Storage Caution in Service Precautions.

4. Place the bleed hose of the fuel pressure gauge into an approved gasoline container.
5. Open the bleed valve on the fuel pressure gauge in order to bleed the air from the fuel pressure gauge.
6. Command the fuel pump ON with a scan tool.
7. Close the bleed valve on the fuel pressure gauge.
8. Inspect for fuel leaks.
