Coolant Heater Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Drain the cooling system.

2. Important: A residual amount of coolant will drain from engine block.

Disconnect the coolant heater power supply cord from the coolant heater.
3. Remove the coolant heater and seal from the engine block.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the seal to the coolant heater.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the coolant heater in to the engine block.
Tighten the coolant heater to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the coolant heater power supply cord to the coolant heater.
4. Fill the cooling system.
