Wiper Motor Linkage: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the air inlet screen.
2. Remove the 6 bolts which secure the windshield wiper transmission (1) to the bulkhead (2).
3. Remove the windshield wiper motor.




4. Slide the wiper transmission (1) through the hole at the far left of the bulkhead.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Slide the windshield wiper transmission (1) into the hole at the far left of the bulkhead.
2. Install the windshield wiper motor.





NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the 6 bolts which secure the wiper transmission (1) to the bulkhead (2)

Tighten
Tighten the windshield wiper transmission bolts to 5.5 N.m (49 lb in).

4. Install the air inlet screen.
